Nemanja Matic, the new AS Roma signing, has expressed his desire to achieve great things with manager Jose Mourinho at the club.
Matic stated that Mourinho is well-known by all and that his decision to join Roma was simple.
During their time at Manchester United and Chelsea, the Serbian collaborated with Mourinho.
“I am thrilled and honored to be joining this club and I cannot wait to start the new season with my teammates,” Matic said on the club’s official website on Tuesday. Matic joined Roma as a free agent, signing a one-year agreement until June 2023 with an option for a second season.
“Roma is a large club with incredible fans and a coach, Jose Mourinho, who is well-known throughout the world, making the decision to come here quite simple.
“I’m hoping that by working together, we can accomplish great things.”
Matic, 33, has chosen to play for Roma in the No. 21 shirt.
