Argentina’s team, led by captain Messi, lavishly celebrated the win over Mexico in the locker room.

Canelo saw the footage and is furious with Messi’s behavior. The Mexican boxer threatened Messi for his conduct in an effort to protect his nation.

On his official Twitter account, the middleweight boxing champion sent a number of comments regarding Messi’s actions.

Did you guys watch Messi wiping the floor with our jersey and flag?, Canelo said in his opening tweet, pointing out what Messi had done.

Canelo continued by saying that Messi, regardless of his status, must respect the Mexican flag before delivering a threat.

“He’d better pray to God that I don’t find him,” he added.

“He has to respect Mexico just as much as I appreciate Argentina!” I’m not talking about the country as a whole, just the nonsense Messi did.”

Messi has yet to respond to Canelo’s claims, but Argentine fans have rallied to his support following Canelo’s warning.

Despite the loss, Mexico still has a chance to go to the knockout stage, while Argentina confronts a similar position.

Messi returns to play when Argentina faces Poland’s Robert Lewandowski, while Mexico faces Saudi Arabia in the following group matchup on Wednesday, November 30, 2022.
