Barcelona is apparently trying to sign Marco Asensio from LaLiga rivals Real Madrid, whose contract expires next summer, according to the Sun.
Following a summer purchasing binge, Barcelona is seeking to continue its reconstruction under manager Xavi.
Catalans secured the services of Robert Lewandowski, Jules Kounde, Raphinha, and Franck Kessie.
And, according to Mundo Deportivo, Xavi and co. would like to recruit Asensio, a Madrid attacker who will soon be out of contract, as their next headline acquisition.

The 26-year-contract old’s at the Bernabeu expires next summer, and he may go for free.
According to the source, if Asensio’s contract status remains unchanged during the winter transfer window, Barcelona may opt to act.
Barcelona may be able to get Asensio for a lower amount in January, or they may have to wait until the summer to sign him for free.
Asensio’s agent, Jorge Mendes, has a solid rapport with club president Joan Laporta, which helps Xavi’s cause.
Barcelona has had a solid start to their LaLiga season.
