Nigerian superstar, Burna Boy has revealed that he has always wanted to play in the NBA in the United States.
Burna Boy revealed in a courtside interview before the NBA All-Star game in Utah on Sunday, February 19, 2023, that he used to dream of playing in the NBA when he was younger.

Burna Boy stated before his performance at the halftime show that he had dreams of one day playing in the NBA, but he got to perform at the NBA All-Star Game instead, so he figured he made it after all.

In what was a big night for Nigerian music, the Grammy winner was joined by Nigerian superstars Rema and Tems in an Afrobeats-themed halftime show that dazzled fans with a selection of their hit singles.

Despite his desire to play basketball professionally, he has established himself as one of the most influential African artists whose music has reached all corners of the globe.

Burna Boy’s half-time performance follows several sold-out shows around the world in 2022, including Madison Square Garden in New York.

On June 3rd, 2023, the hitmaker will make history by becoming the first African musician to perform at the 60,000-capacity London Stadium as part of his ‘Love Damini’ world tour.
