As a result, the House of Representatives accepted the Federal Government’s request to borrow $973,474,971.38 from China Development Bank on Tuesday.
This came after the China-Exim Bank rejected Nigeria’s $22,798,446,773 loan request, which had previously been authorized by the National Assembly.
Abubakar Fulata, Chairman of the House Rules and Business Committee, proposed amending the legislative chamber’s vote approving the failed loan agreement.
