Following the arrest of certain domestic employees, the Nigerian Police Force verified the death of Davido and Chioma’s three-year-old son, Ifeanyi Adeleke.

On Tuesday, the Lagos State Police Command summoned eight of the singer’s domestic employees for questioning in connection with the death of his son, Ifeanyi.

The 3-year-old who died in their Lagos family home drowned in their private swimming pool after being left unattended for several hours. In verifying the death, State Police Public Relations Officer Benjamin Hundeyin stated that all domestic employees will be questioned.

Furthermore, anyone found to be careless will be held back for additional drilling to aid in the inquiry. He further added that “anyone determined not to be guilty will be permitted to leave immediately.”

While the couple has yet to issue an official comment addressing the tragedy, the tragic news has engulfed social media. Several Nigerian and Ghanaian celebrities have already expressed their condolences to the deceased’s family.

Davido and his partner Chioma welcomed their first child, Ifeanyi, in 2019. The two have been in an on-again, off-again relationship, with recent sightings indicating they may marry shortly.
