The English Premier League team Bournemouth has revealed that Scott Parker has been fired as head coach.
According to Naija News, this follows a historic loss to Liverpool last Saturday.

After losing to Manchester United two days prior at Old Trafford, Jurgen Klopp’s team got back to winning ways last weekend, thrashing Bournemouth 9-0 at Anfield to earn their first victory of the current season.

According to Naija News, the Cherries’ humiliating loss on Saturday at Anfield is their third setback since being promoted back to the Premier League.

After losing to Manchester City and Arsenal to start the season, Bournemouth has so far scored 16 goals. Nevertheless, they defeated Aston Villa in a game.

Mxim Demin, the chairman of Bournemouth, announced the club was looking for a new head coach and added: “I would like to place on record my gratitude to Scott and his team for their efforts during their time with us. The final campaign of his tenure will always be regarded as one of our most successful campaigns in history thanks to our promotion back to the Premier League.

But in order for us to continue improving as a group and as a club, we must be united in our approach to managing the club sustainably. We also need to respect and believe in one another.

“That is the strategy that has helped this club achieve so much success recently, and we won’t stray from it going forward. We’ll start looking for a new head coach right away.

According to Naija News, Gary O’Neil will preside over Wednesday’s home game against Wolves in an interim capacity, with Shaun Cooper and Tommy Elphick serving as his assistants.
