PSG superstar Kylian Mbappe has been named the new captain of the French national football team.

The 24-year-old world cup winner, who also became his club’s all-time leading scorer last week, will take over as captain in the country’s next round of matches.

Following his outstanding performance during France’s World Cup victory in 2018, Mbappe has been identified as a future leader. He then went on to perform admirably in last December’s World Cup in Qatar.

He won the silver ball and golden boot in the tournament, including scoring a hat-trick in the final against Argentina.
