Funke Akindele, a renowned Nobel prize actress and film producer running for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) deputy governorship candidate in Lagos State, has expressed confidence in winning the election.

The film diva openly declared that she has what it takes to lead her party to victory.

Funke Akindele showed confidence in her over 15 million Instagram admirers voting for her during an interview with Channels Television on Thursday.

The mother of two stated that, in addition to her social media followers, she has grassroots supporters.

“I HAVE FANS AND FOLLOWERS.” I FEEL THEIR ANGER. I HEARD SOMEONE NAG. I WATCH TV AND FEEL THEIR ANGER. “I’M GOING OUT TO OFFER SOLUTIONS,” SHE SAID.

“I’M GOING FOR MY FANS, FOLLOWERS, AND LAGOSIANS.” IT’S TIME FOR CHANGE, CHANGE FOR THE YOUTH, CHANGE FOR THE WOMEN.

“DR. ABDUL-AZEEZ HAS BUILT THIS STRUCTURE FOR SEVEN YEARS. HE KNOWS WHO THEY ARE AND WHAT THEY NEED.

“I’VE GOT THE NUMBER. I’VE GOT FANS AND FOLLOWERS. I AM HONEST TO MYSELF. ON SOCIAL MEDIA, I HAVE OVER 19 TO 20 MILLION FANS. THE GRASSROOTS HAVE A LOT OF PEOPLE. OUTSIDE OF IKORODU, I HAVE GRASSROOTS FANS EVERYWHERE.”
