Nigerian Afrobeat artist, Omah Lay has revealed how his famous hit tune ‘Soso’ was inspired by his pain.
He revealed this during an interview with Hey Steph TV, where he described his worrisome situation.
While reflecting on the lowest period in his life, he stated that ‘Soso’ describes nothing more than a clip of what he experienced during the lowest point in his life.
He went on to say that he couldn’t completely articulate what happened in his life amid the peak of the drama since his emotions had sunk to their lowest point.
His words:
“I was in pain, so much pain, when I was writing this song. I was just in a place where I was losing my mind.”
“I was smoking a lot, way too much. I was down. You know when they say, when you exhaust… there was really nothing in life that was nice at the time.”
