Brendan Rodgers, manager of Leicester City, has stated that he has no plans to resign following the team’s worst performance in the Premier League.

Following Saturday’s 6-2 thrashing at Tottenham, the Foxes are bottom of the table with just one point from their first seven games, their worst start since 1983.

“I always believe we can overcome it,” Rodgers, who took over for Claude Puel in February 2019, said.

“You didn’t see a team today that lacked confidence, and that’s always a good sign.”

“I will always fight, but I understand the game, and six consecutive losses aren’t good for anyone.”

“I completely understand the frustration of supporters,” he added. I can’t run away from it. It is entirely my fault.

“Whatever happens, I’ll have a lot of respect for them [the owners] because they’ve been so supportive.” I’m familiar with the game. Whatever happens in Leicester, whether I stay or fight on, I will always respect them.
