Nigerian recording artist and lyricist, Larry Gaaga has released a new single ‘Egedege,’ which was produced by Masterkraft.
The Indigenous rapper Phyno, Highlife singer Flavour, and the Unubi Egedege Queen, Theresa Onuorah all appear on the cultural song ‘Egedege.’

Egedege is a well-known traditional dance in Nigeria’s Eastern region. The Egedege dance performance is dressed in royal attire and includes a mix of songs, dance, and instrumentation — all introduced by elaborate fluting led by the queen.

Larry Gaaga collaborates on this release with Queen Theresa Onuorah, who popularized the Egedege dance in Nigeria. Flavour, an indigenous Igbo singer, and Phyno, an indigenous rapper, add color and spice to the overall delivery of this powerful single.

In local slang, Egedege literally means “richness and bravery,” and this collaboration portrays a powerful representation of Nigeria’s diverse and rich Igbo culture.

The musician creates a sound that is similar to a breath of fresh air by fusing the rapid tempo and aggression of Musical with the percussion and electronic vibes of Electronic Dance Entertainment.
