The two younger brothers of NBA YoungBoy, a famous Louisiana rapper, were allegedly arrested in Baton Rouge for second-degree murder.

According to Fox8 News Baton Rouge, 18-year-old Davaughn Tate and 16-year-old Jeffrey Tate were taken into custody on Wednesday (December 5) for their suspected involvement in the killing of 17-year-old Javon Brown.

On Monday (December 2), Brown and a friend were walking home in East Baton Rouge Parish when three male suspects approached them. A fight ensued and Brown was shot. He later died of his injuries at Louisiana hospital.

Louisiana Sheriff’s deputies suspected the Tate brothers were involved after Jeffrey checked himself into a local hospital to treat a non-fatal gunshot injury. Investigators believe Jeffrey was accidentally shot during the fight.

After being treated and released, Jeffery was questioned by authorities and booked into the parish’s juvenile detention center on one count of second-degree murder, principal to illegal use of a weapon, and simple battery.

As of Wednesday, all three suspects allegedly involved in the shooting have been apprehended. Davaughn is accused of pulling the trigger.

NBA YoungBoy, whose real name is Kentrell Gaulden has yet to comment on the matter. The investigation is ongoing.
