On Wednesday, netizens dragged controversial artist Habeeb Okikiola, also known as Portable, after the singer endorsed Governor Gboyega Oyetola ahead of the July 18 governorship election in Osun State.

While endorsing Oyetola’s reelection campaign, the singer also urged Nigerians to vote for the party’s presidential nominee, Bola Tinubu, in next year’s election.

Portable urged his supporters in Osun to vote for the governor, who was sitting with him, in a video shared on his Instagram page on Wednesday.

Portable stated in Yoruba, “4+4, Akoi Oyetola, my father is here.”

“Nigerians, you should all agree for Tinubu, so that things may go well,” he continued.

The artist was also seen flaunting money he supposedly received after meeting with the governor.

However, in response to the tweet on Wednesday, Nigerians on the microblogging site Twitter claimed that the governor was using taxpayer funds in his “desperate bid” to be re-elected.
