Former Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo has stated that the southern region should normally produce the country’s next president in 2023.
The former president reportedly said this on Wednesday at his Hilltop Home in Abeokuta while meeting with the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu.
According to PM News, Obasanjo insisted that the south should produce Nigeria’s next president.
However, the platform did not name its source, who it claimed was present at the meeting between Obasanjo and Tinubu.
“I am very much aware that it is the turn of the South to produce the next President of Nigeria,” Obasanjo was quoted as saying. I was present at the meeting where the agreement was reached.
