Manchester United have announced the loan signing of Ivorian defender Eric Bailly to Ligue 1 club Olympique Marseille.
United issued a statement on their website confirming the loan transfer.
“Manchester United defender Eric Bailly has joined French club Marseille on loan for the remainder of the 2022/23 season,” read the statement.
“Bailly’s transfer to the south of France includes the possibility of a permanent move at the end of the season.”
“The 28-year-old joined the Reds in the summer of 2016, and he appeared in 38 games in his debut season, during which we won the Europa League, EFL Cup, and Community Shield.”
