Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s nominee for president, met with Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, director general of the World Trade Organization (WTO).
According to Naija News, on Wednesday at the WTO headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland, the former governor of Anambra State met with the former minister of finance.

Given the severe circumstances the nation is in, Obi claimed in a tweet sent through his verified Twitter account that they both talked about Nigeria’s economic recovery and the need for commerce.

The LP flagbearer expressed gratitude to Okonjo-Iweala for her time, candid participation, and insightful counsel.

The former governor of Anambra declared that he is still dedicated to improving Nigeria for the coming generations.

He wrote: “Given the severe circumstances we find ourselves in, today I was in the @WTO HQ in Geneva, Switzerland, to discuss and acquire some knowledge about Nigeria’s economic recovery (related to the importance of trade and investment).

“I genuinely appreciate @NOIweala’s time, candid involvement, helpful counsel, and assistance. I’m still dedicated to making Nigeria better for next generations.

In preparation for the general elections in 2023, the LP presidential candidate is now travelling abroad to meet with his supporters in Canada, Germany, London, Rome, the United States, and Switzerland.
