Nigerian Afrobeat sensation Divine Iqboll, better known as Rema, is delighted to have accomplished the mission he set out three years ago.

The talented artist recently captivated India’s major cities and concert venues with the first installment of his highly anticipated Rema Calm Down India Tour.

Rema shared a retrospective video of her 2020 interview on her Twitter page, in which she expressed her desire to bring Afrobeat to India and leave a lasting impression.

“Look, Afrobeat, I want to take it to the next level. Get in the India Zone. Why can’t India be shut down?” he explained passionately during the interview.

After three years of unwavering determination, Rema was thrilled to finally achieve her dream of shutting down India. In a tweet, he thanked his country and everyone who believed in him.

“Three years later, we did it! Thank you for India’s overwhelming love and our heartfelt prayers to those who believed in us.”

Lemma’s first frenzied performance is in Delhi, with her next shows scheduled for Mumbai on Saturday and Hyderabad on Sunday.

In an interview with PTI, Rema expressed her love for Indian music and her desire to collaborate with Indian artists.

He admired the emotional vocals and captivating melodies of Indian music, and explained that he had been playing Indian music a lot since coming to India.

He especially expressed his admiration for the famous Indian musician AR Rahman.

The artist absorbed Indian culture during his visit, wearing a wreath around his neck, a turban and even a red bindi on his forehead.

Indian dancers performed in their own national costumes to his hit song “Calm Down,” showing the appreciation and enthusiasm of the Indian audience.
