Afrobeat musician Seun Kuti has been released on bail from the state criminal police custody Department, Panti, Lagos state.
Remember, Seun was arrested by the police a few days ago on suspicion of assaulting a police officer on the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos.
But Mr Kuti’s lawyers had previously issued a statement suggesting he would be released on bail as ordered by a judge.
The development was confirmed in a telephone interview with The Punch by Adeinka Ormide Husica, a lawyer from San San State.
“Yes, Ṣeun Kuti was released minutes ago,” he said.
A video of the singer outside the center was also shared online with fans and friends jubilating his release.
