The Nigerian Supreme Court has postponed a bail hearing against Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB) leader Nnamdi Kanu until September 14.

Naija News reported that the Supreme Court heard Kanu’s appeal filed today, Thursday, May 11, 2023, after staying the case on April 27, 2023.
It is recalled that on November 3, 2022,  the Biafra agitator appealed to the Supreme Court for continued detention at the Department of State (DSS).

Kanu’s appeal is against an appeals court’s decision that stayed the execution of his previous order on October 28, 2022, acquitted him of all charges, and ordered his release from secret police custody. rice field.

Unsatisfied with the denial of bail by the federal courts and the court of appeals, the Briarfra agitators appealed to the Supreme Court.

But in a ruling on Thursday, the apex court adjourned the bail hearing of the IPOB leader till September 14, 2023.
