Erik ten Hag and Marcus Rashford of Manchester United have been named the Premier League’s Manager and Player of the Month for September.

On Friday, the pair’s selection as winners of the illustrious individual honors was announced on the Premier League Twitter account.

It is Ten Hag’s first Premier League Manager of the Month honor; this is Marcus’ second time taking home the trophy; the first time was in January 2019.

In September, Ten Hag led United to two significant victories over Leicester City and Arsenal.

With a 3-1 victory over Arsenal at Old Trafford, he assisted the Red Devils in ending their league-leading streak of unbeaten play.

The death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II forced the postponement of matches against Crystal Palace and Leeds United, leaving United with just two league games in the month of September: Leicester City on the first and Arsenal three days later.

Rashford proved crucial in both games as the Reds still managed to secure a handful of victories.

In the road encounter against the Foxes, Rashford maintained his calm to find teammate Jadon Sancho for the game’s lone goal.

Rashford then contributed to all three goals against Arsenal as United defeated the league’s top team to move up to fifth in the standings.

He first assisted on newcomer Antony’s first goal before scoring twice.
