Pete Edochie appears to have responded to the news for the first time since rumors of his death became public.

Pete Edochie, the legendary actor, thanked people who wished him long life and good health, only weeks after his son Uche put an end to rumors of his death.

On Sunday, the 75-year-old shared his images on Instagram, thanking his admirers for their prayers and compliments after he posted a video of himself dancing. He stated:

HAPPY WEEKEND TO MY ENTIRE ONLINE TEAM. THANK YOU FOR THE PRAYERS AND COMPLIMENTS IN THE PREVIOUS POST. WISH YOU ALL LONG LIFE IN GREAT HEALTH TOO.”

GISTLOVER News recalls Uche Edochie in an Instagram post on July 8 debunked the rumor his father was involved in a car accident that led to his death.

The rumor started circulating on social media after several bloggers reported that the actor died in a motor accident.

Uche stated that a group of people had taken up the task of declaring his father dead for the past twenty years, adding that human beings are a “weird bunch.”
