On Wednesday, supporters of Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate Peter Obi were attacked in Surulere, Lagos State.
According to Naija News, the incident occurred after some of the supporters joined the LP’s Deputy Governorship candidate, Princess Oyefusi, for a campaign at the Aguda Market in Surulere.

Thugs disrupted the market campaign, according to one of the ‘Obidents,’ and one supporter was stabbed during the fracas.

They expressed outrage that LP supporters are being attacked in Lagos while the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) can campaign in other states without being humiliated.

Why I Campaign In Market Places
Meanwhile, Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate Peter Obi has explained why he always takes his presidential campaign for 2023 to the market.

He described the markets as a place that reinforces his strategy of transitioning Nigeria from consumption to production and meeting those who are critical to his success.

Functional markets, according to Obi, are the roots, and visiting them allows him to hear the problems of traders, business people, industrialists, and farmers in order to make promises of a better time for them.

According to Xclusivesongs News, he stated this on Monday night during a Channels TV interview.
