On Friday, the Ukrainian military announced that a Russian tugboat had been destroyed in the Black Sea.
The tugboat was claimed to be on its way to replenish occupying soldiers on Snake Island, which is strategically significant.
“The tugboat of the Black Sea Fleet ‘Vasiliy Bekh’ was attacked in the Black Sea during in the shipment of ammunition, weaponry, and people of the Black Sea Fleet to Snake Island,” the Ukrainian Navy announced, according to CNN.
The tug was said to be equipped with a “TOR” anti-aircraft missile system, according to the Navy.
The boat left Sevastapol, Crimea, on Tuesday night, according to the website Marine Traffic.
