Famous Nollywood actor Yul Edochie recently shared a heartbreaking story about a staff member he adopted as a sibling.
The actor lamented on his official Facebook page that the staff in issue had stolen from him.

He stated that despite his generosity to the staff, he still took some of his money.

He acknowledged that he had to relieve the man of his responsibilities, but he never asked him to repay the money.

Despite the generous gesture, the guy called him a few months later to beg for financial help.

The actor stated that the plea originally enraged him, but after much deliberation, he only had to send the money.

Yul Edochie used the means to encourage his followers to practice forgiveness.

He wrote: “I had a staff whom I took like a brother and was even dashing him money from time to time, in addition to paying him for his services.

“One day I found out he was stealing from me and had stolen so much money already. (In this hard economy). I laid him off.

“He didn’t have money to pay back, I just told him to go, don’t pay back just go so you won’t steal more. Later he called to beg for forgiveness.

“I forgave him but I told him to stay far away from me. A few months after he called begging me for financial assistance. As a human being, the first thought that came to me was ‘what nerve, he still has the guts to beg for money, what an ingrate’.

“I felt like unleashing my anger on him. But later in my quiet moment, I started thinking. Every day we wrong God and we ask for forgiveness, and we still ask for his blessings. What is forgiveness if you can’t lend him help?
