Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, promised to reform and train internet fraudsters known as Yahoo Boys to become tech experts.
He made the promise during the party’s presidential campaign in Benin on Thursday, which was held at the University of Benin (UNIBEN) sports complex.
According to the presidential candidate, his entry into the presidential race is intended to bring happiness and prosperity to Nigerians.
“We will create jobs, we will turn this state into an energy state, and we will turn the so-called Yahoo Boys into experts in chip manufacturing,” Tinubu said.
“If you want prosperity, vote for me; if you want the ability to become wealthy, vote for me. You retire knowledge diamonds and skills when you say go and retire now.
“We can defeat poverty, we can break the shackles of poverty, ignorance, and homelessness. We’re going to do it together.
