The Atiku/Okowa Presidential Campaign Council has called for the removal of Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike due to the state’s unending violence.
Wike, according to the Atiku Campaign Council, should be removed before the 2023 general elections, which begin on February 25, and the Federal Government should declare a state of emergency in the state.

According to the Council, the governor’s antics may jeopardize the free and fair conduct of the state’s upcoming elections.

According to Naija News, Daniel Bwala, Spokesperson for the Atiku Presidential Campaign Council, stated this during an interview on Arise News on Wednesday.

“If the chief executive officer of the state cannot allow free and fair conduct, then the proper thing to do is to declare a state of emergency, remove him, and hold an election there,” he said.

Bwala went on to say that despite Wike’s efforts to derail the PDP’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, would win the presidential election in Rivers.

The Atiku campaign spokesman said the former Vice President will go to Rivers State to celebrate with its people when he wins the election.

Bwala went on to say that PDP leaders in the state, including former National Chairman Uche Secondus, would work to ensure Atiku’s victory.

He noted that such leaders had consistently delivered votes for Atiku in the past, adding that “they are the ground soldiers who know the people at the ba”
