Shortly after Funke Akindele Bello was announced as the running mate for the PDP governorship candidate in Lagos State, Dr. Olajide Adediran, also known as Jandor, notorious actor Uche Maduagwu attacked her.

Funke Akindele previously confirmed her appointment following speculation regarding her political career, which she declined.

The mother of two confirmed her selection as Jandor’s running mate in the impending 2023 general elections by posting a video on her verified social media website.

Uche Maduagwu, in response, stated that Funke Akindele’s announcement as Dr Olajide Adediran’s running mate is preposterously insensitive because, at a time when Nigerians were observing social distancing to save their lives, during the global lockdown in 2020, Funke threw a flamboyant house party without ‘cognitive respect’ for safety and the effect of such actions on the fans who look up to her.

According to Uche, such actions demonstrate that she has a long way to go in her spiritual path as a leader.
